Canon Patents Camera Cooling System Using Magnetic Fluid

The camera getting hot is the reason why there is a limit to the time it can record at high resolution. So digital camera owners are usually given a limit between 30-60 minutes each time recording is done before the camera stops to avoid damage. Canon tried to solve this issue by patenting a rather unique cooling system.

Magnetic fluid will be used to cool the components in the camera. What is unique here is that the liquid will flow in a closed system using an electromagnetic pump system instead of through the convection system used in normal liquid cooling systems.

The patent was filed last February but was only published on August 18. With a better cooling system the issue of recording time limitation due to heat can be solved on Canon cameras.
