OnePlus seems to be getting more serious in the wearable device market. Their first product was the OnePlus Watch which arrived last year with its own operating system. Last month, the N Health app which is an app for wearable devices specifically for the Nord ecosystem was leaked. Inside it lists a watch called the OnePlus Nord Watch.
This app is actually just a rebrand of the OnePlus Health app. It seems that OnePlus wants to separate the Nord brand as its own entity. This is most likely one of their strategies to become Nord as a brand of its own.
Recently, 91Mobiles has revealed some OnePlus Nord watch designs. OnePlus looks like it won't come with just one watch but there will be five models.
The first design shows a round screen with a bezel protected by a kind of bumper and has two buttons on the side with the first button accented with a red warrant. This watch is said to be their rugged version, perhaps looking to compete with the Amazfit T-Rex 2.
The second design reveals the same round screen design, only it looks more simple and minimal. This suggests this may be the ultimate Nord watch without protection for it to be durable. The third design also comes with a round screen, but there is only one button on the side and from the image it looks like it may use more affordable construction materials.
The fourth and fifth designs are seen using designs similar to Amazfit GTS/GTR 4 or Apple Watch. The difference in the image seen may be the size and construction material. Along with this leaked design is a preliminary image for the watch face.
Clearly here, these Nord watches are basic smartwatches with their own operating systems. Not sure if this watch will also include Google Maps and Spotify support like the OnePlus Watch. What is unique and the offer will be given? Let's wait for the official announcement for these products later.
