Hurray! iPhone 14 Release Schedule Reportedly Moved

Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 14 in September. The latest rumors say the launch of the iPhone 14 will be brought forward earlier than previous speculations.

Previous rumors said Apple would launch the iPhone 14 on September 13. Reportedly Apple was not happy the launch event was held after a long holiday and on September 5 there was a Labor Day holiday in the United States.

It looks like this hypothesis will be wrong because tipster Max Weinbach got information from his source that the iPhone 14 will be launched on September 6 and the first sale will begin on September 16, as quoted from Phone Arena, Monday (8/8/2022).

In comparison, the iPhone 13 was announced on September 14, pre-orders opened on September 17, and the premiere began 10 days after the announcement on September 24.

fwiw I heard September 6th event and iPhone's on sale on the 16th

not 100% sure, but around there seems right. https://t.co/X2vbu2XyiC

Whether the launch will be split remains unknown. Because the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are rumored to have display and camera lens problems. Not to mention the chaotic China-Taiwan relations have the potential to make the launch postponed.

For the launch of the iPhone 14 this year, it seems that it will still be held virtually. Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman said Apple had already started recording video presentations for later showing at the launch of the iPhone 14.

When holding the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event last June, Apple held it in a hybrid manner by allowing a limited number of participants to attend in person at Apple Park. It is likely that the same format will be used for the iPhone 14 launch.

Gurman said Apple plans to hold two launch events this fall. The September event will focus on the new iPhone 14 and Apple Watch, while the second event in October will focus on the Mac and iPad.

Apple is indeed preparing a lot of products to launch in the fall of this year, so it is not surprising that they are planning two events at once. In addition to the new iPhone and Apple Watch, there's also the iPad Pro, AirPods Pro, and more.
