Mark Zuckerberg is keen to promote the metaverse as the next big thing in the internet world. But when he showed off his avatar taking a selfie using virtual reality, netizens even laughed.
That's because the graphics from the avatar look simple and don't match the hype of the sophistication of the metaverse. Can be seen in the picture below. Many netizens made it a joke.
"Immersive he said with cartoon graphics like this? Come on," wrote one comment. "That picture looks nothing like you, you deserve better," wrote another.
"Look for more input from gamers and realism." "Wow, how can they copy your eyes, Mark," wrote another comment.
Maybe because he realized he was a joke, the founder of Facebook immediately posted another avatar. This time, the picture is much better and more realistic.

"Big update on Horizon (Meta-red metaverse platform) and avatar graphics coming soon. I'll share more," he wrote.
He also admitted that the picture posted earlier was not very attractive. "Also, I know that the photo I previously posted this week was quite ordinary, because it was taken very quickly to celebrate the launch. The graphics in Horizon are capable of much more and Horizon is growing very quickly," Mark Zuckerberg claimed.
