According to early reports, it is now said that Google and Samsung have started development of a new generation Tensor chip for next year's Pixel 8 smartphone.
Samsung has produced chips for Google Tensor before, and it's no surprise for Google to once again choose Samsung for Tensor chip production.
This is due to the relatively good relationship between Samsung and Google, including Samsung itself as the largest manufacturer of Android devices, and contributing to the development of Wear OS.
Regardless, it is unknown whether this new generation of chips will be able to compete with the offerings of Qualcomm and others or vice versa.
Google previously chose to produce its own chip design, giving them more control over features, including AI integration for photography.
For now, full info about the specifications and features that will be included is still unknown.
