RR Auction, which regularly sells Apple products through a bidding process, has recently managed to sell the first iPhone that is still new in the box with the plastic not yet torn. It was the first iPhone launched in 2007. Not only that, it was the first production line iPhone unit.
This is confirmed because the home screen of this iPhone displays 12 icons, compared to the second product line which has 13 icons to include the iTunes application icon. This iPhone box still doesn't have the iTunes icon anymore.
This iPhone has 8GB of internal storage, powered by a 412MHz ARM 11 chip with PowerVR MBX GPU, a 3.5-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 320×480 pixels, a 2MP camera and a 1400mAh battery. This iPhone has the model number A1203 and at launch it was sold for $599 (in 2007, around RM2100).
At RR Auction, this iPhone was auctioned at a price of $35,414 which is around RM158,389.
