There are three diseases that humans are quite afraid of now, namely monkey pox and Covid-19. HIV disease used to have the same status as Covid-19 but with the help of modern medicine it is no longer considered a death sentence. But in Italy one unfortunate man was found to have all three of these diseases simultaneously.
The 36-year-old man, whose identity has been withheld, received the bad news of being diagnosed with all three diseases within a week. He complained of headache, fever and sore throat after returning from a holiday in Spain in early July. When the test was done, he was confirmed to have Covid-19 from the Omicron BA.5.1 variant.
The doctor later realized that he had a rash on his body before it became a blister on his body which is a symptom of monkey pox. Tests were done and he was now confirmed to be infected with the disease. After several blood tests were taken, he was confirmed to have HIV.
The previously unreported case was published in the Journal of Infection. The mistake he made was having sex while traveling without using any protection.
