2K Also Hacked With Customers Receiving Links To Malware

 

In addition to Rockstar Games, video game publishing company 2K also fell victim to hackers this week. They confirmed their customer support system had been hacked and then emailed customers with a link to the malware.

Immediately after the intrusion was detected, 2K deactivated the customer support system to ensure it was not further used by hackers. Customers who receive emails from 2K are asked not to open or click on the attached links. J

If this has happened the customer is advised to delete all passwords stored on the web browser. A two-factor authentication system is also encouraged to be activated. After that use the application to detect malicious applications on the computer.
