5G Now Covers 33% of the Populated Area in Malaysia

 

The Minister of Communications and Multimedia, now shared that there are more than 2100 5G sites currently operating, as of August 2022.

In line with these developments, 5G coverage now reaches 33% of the population in several states, including the Federal Territories of Labuan and Putrajaya.

The government aims to cover 36% of the population in Malaysia by the end of 2022.

Activities to expand 5G coverage are expected to be carried out extensively in the coming months, with the target of reaching 80% by the end of 2024.
