Apple seems to want more people to use their smartwatches, and in that move, wants to make the selling price of smartwatches more competitive than a number of other competitors.
Now, according to a NYT report, Apple is expected to introduce a new watch that costs less than the Apple Watch SE offering today.
Apple Watch SE is now priced at RM1199. This new offering is likely to replace the Apple Watch Series 3 which is still sold in the market at a price of RM849 today.
Apple is expected to replace the Apple Watch Series 3 offering that has no cellular support – and more importantly, no Family Setup support.
Let's all look forward to this week to see what surprises Apple has, and what the minimum selling price will be for their smartwatches with cellular offerings. If priced right – this device could also become a gift that parents buy for their children, further increasing the number of Apple Watch users in the world.
