Apple Reduces Production of iPhone 14 Up to 6 Million Units Due to Lack of Response

Apple's marketing strategy this year that released the iPhone 14 series with the A15 Bionic chip and the iPhone 14 Pro series with the A16 Bionic chip may be self-defeating. According to a Bloomberg report, Apple has told suppliers to reduce production of the iPhone 14 series by up to 6 million units due to lack of response from consumers.

After sales opened two weeks ago, customers were found to be choosing the iPhone 14 Pro series with waiting times in some markets exceeding a month. Rumors of a cold reception for the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus models have been heard for the past week but today is the first time reports have surfaced of reduced production numbers.

Also this week, the iPhone 14 began to be manufactured in India for the first time with it aiming to be sold in that country only at this time. This is Apple's move to not move device manufacturing out of China.
