Long-distance bus drivers in Beijing are now required to wear a special electronic bracelet, which includes technology to monitor the driver's emotions and mental state.
This step was taken by one of the transportation companies in Beijing, in an effort to protect the welfare of the bus passengers. This is also seen in parallel with the increase in the accident rate from year to year.
Through the wristband, it allows the driver's emotions to be monitored in real time, including pulse rate, blood oxygen levels, blood pressure and even sleep pattern monitoring.
Although it is said to be done to protect the welfare of passengers, there are some parties who also question the level of privacy due to the use of these wristbands.
