DALL-E's artificial intelligence allows images to be generated using only text input. Initially OpenAI which developed DALL-E prevented users from uploading images of themselves, prominent individuals or celebrities to avoid manipulation that could bring down the individual's image.
But as TechCrunch reports, OpenAI emailed customers that they now allow customers to upload photos of real people and celebrities. Permission was granted after they put some security measures in place to prevent the image from being misused after the image is produced. Another security measure is not allowing images to be uploaded without permission.
