In 2021, Google took over Fitbit and now it is a brand under them. Since then, Fitibit products began to be sold by Google and products such as the Sense 2 and Versa 4 began to come with watch faces similar to Wear OS while the Pixel Watch will have Fitbit integration.
Recently, Fitbit announced that starting in 2023, Google accounts will begin to be used on Fitbit products. This account will be used to activate Fitbit products, use online features and functions or any other services.
Fitibit account support will be completely discontinued in 2025. Fitibit users can currently use their existing accounts as usual. Later when the Google account is launched, users will be helped to transfer data from the old account to the Google account.
