Five Hospitals Selected as NTIS Medical Hubs Test the Latest Medical Technology

 


The National Technology and Innovation Sandbox (NTIS) Health Technology Hub was launched yesterday to test various latest medical technologies in Malaysia. Under this NTIS health hub, five hospitals have been selected to test and pioneer the use of 5G technology, robotics, and the internet of things.



The five hospitals selected are Putrajaya Hospital, National Cancer Institute, Tunku Azizah Hospital, Bera Hospital and Rembau Hospital. The establishment of the NTIS Health Technology Hub will accelerate the creation, adoption and commercialization of local technologies and innovations in addition to providing benefits to consumers to obtain quality healthcare at an affordable cost.


The NTIS Health Technology Hub is a collaborative program between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) through NTIS and the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KMM). Previously, under NTIS, a program to accelerate the use of drones and self-driving cars has also been announced.
