Fujifilm X-H2 Launches With 40.2MP Sensor And 8K/30p ProRes Recording

The Fujifilm X-H2 mirrorless camera was launched as the world's first APS-C camera with 8K/30p ProRes video recording capabilities. It is equipped with a 40.2MP CMOS 5 HR X-Trans sensor paired with an X-Processor 5 imaging chip as well as a 5-axis IBIS stabilization system.

Video at 8K/30p ProRes resolution can be recorded for up to 30 minutes per session. But Fujifilm sells a cooling fan accessory that allows unlimited video recording until the storage is full. The camera can take 40 frames per second with AF and AE or 30 frames per second up to 1000 pictures continuously.

The Pixel Shift Multi-Shot feature allows the camera to capture separate images that are then combined into a large 160 MP image automatically. In addition to RAW and JPEG, the HEIF image format can also be used by X-H2 owners.

There is a 0.5″ EVF with 5.76 million dots on the back along with a 3″ touch screen that can be used at different angles. Supported memory card systems are CFExpress Type B and UHS-II SD. The camera also has waterproof capabilities. The selling price of the Fujifilm X-H2 is $1,999.95 (~RM8996) body only and $2,499.95 (~RM11,245) with the XF16-80mmF4 R OIS WR lens.
