Google Reportedly Cancels Development of New Pixelbook

Will the Pixelbook series be discontinued? According to a report by The Verge, Google has canceled the new Pixelbook and disbanded the team involved with its development. This ended the era of Google offering laptops to users.

According to The Verge citing internal sources, the Pixelbook was canceled as part of a cost-cutting measure. This is in line with Sundar Pichai's announcement in an internal memo to Google's subordinates that he will cut back on new hires and reevaluate ongoing projects.

Although the Pixelbook is dead, Chrome OS will continue just without the dedicated hardware from Google. Chromebooks are popular laptops among students due to their lower cost but at the same time cannot match Windows and macOS in terms of features for older users.
