HP has launched a SitePrint printer designed specifically for drawing floor plans on construction sites. With SitePrint, accurate plans can be drawn to avoid any mistakes made during building construction or in the renovation process.
Usually the process of drawing an accurate site plan is a complicated process because it has to be done manually by the workers. With SitePrint, a 2400 square foot floor space can be painted in just 7 minutes versus several hours using human labor. The user simply needs to upload the CAD drawing to SitePrint and the LiDAR system and sensors will ensure that the drawing at the correct scale is printed on the floor surface.
Before launch, SitePrint was tested on 80 real construction sites to see its effectiveness and also the type of ink that can be used on different floor surfaces. HP SitePrint is now being launched in the United States first before it will be sold to the global market in the future.
