Instagram Introduces Family Center Feature For Malaysian Users

Instagram today introduced the Family Center feature for users in Malaysia which allows parents or guardians to monitor the activities of children (especially aged 13 - 18 years) on the application.

This is because, uncontrolled use, especially among teenagers, can result in unwanted events even though social media is fundamentally a form of communication.

The update is also an important step in the effort to make Instagram a platform that is safe to use by various walks of life. Through this feature, there are several things that can be monitored such as the interaction between children and other users which allows parents or guardians to see who is following them. At the same time, guardians can also receive notifications about specific Instagram account reports (if any).

Next, parents or guardians can also see the usage time of children on Instagram. Through it there is a column that will display a graph about the amount of time spent by the children as a whole. Then, this use can also be limited to a certain time through the settings provided.

According to Instagram, this feature will begin to be offered to users starting this Friday. Make sure the application has been updated to enjoy it while also allowing parents or guardians to be sensitive to their children, Just as an interlude, Snapchat has also been present with the same offer before through the Snapchat Family Center feature.
