Intel today has officially introduced their 13th generation processing chip under Intel Core, for desktop users. A number of variations are offered, including an Intel Core “K” option.
The most powerful chip under this Gen-13 offering is the Intel Core i9-13900K which offers a speed of up to 5.8Ghz, making it the fastest processing chip for desktop today, with a 24-core design.
Overall, Intel says this 13th generation chip offers improved performance of up to 15% for light tasks, while up to 41% for heavy tasks such as video processing and 3D animation.
Intel seems to be focusing its offerings this time on seamless multi-tasking support – especially for heavy tasks that require high processing rates.
With this support as well, it offers powerful video game performance than before – including in terms of frame rate, as well as game processing.
For those of you who like overclocking, it can be done easily through the Intel Speed Optimizer feature on this processing chip.
Intel says it will offer these Intel Core Gen-13 chips starting this October – bundled with new computers, or separately. The local sales price is still unknown at this time.
