If you're an industrial designer who needs a high-powered laptop but also wants a device with a minimalist design, Lenovo Malaysia has today announced that their most powerful industrial-class Lenovo laptop will soon start entering the local market.
The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 is an industrial class laptop, combining a fully aluminum frame design with a 16-inch IPS screen display with a starting resolution of 1920×1200 with a display ratio of 16:10 or a touchscreen OLED display with a resolution of 3840 x 2400 if that's what you want.
It is powered by a choice of processing chips up to Intel Alder Lake HX (Intel Core i9-12950HX), 32GB of DDR5 memory and up to 8TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. In terms of graphics requirements, this laptop is loaded with a choice of NVIDIA RTX A1000 graphics cards up to NVIDIA RTX A5500 for the ability to process powerful 3D objects.
In terms of I/O, the laptop is loaded with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, one SD card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Just like most device makers lately, Lenovo is also seen using recycled materials such as Post-Consumer Recyclables, especially in the speaker section and also the battery pack frame in this laptop.
In the meantime, this ThinkPad P16 also comes with support for WiFi6E network, Bluetooth 5.2 and also an option for NFC if needed. Lenovo Malaysia says that this laptop is already open for pre-order at a starting price of RM7910.
