In Malaysia, LG may be better known for their series of smart OLED televisions or electronic hardware, but they are also known for their laptops in certain markets, and recently they have updated the offering of one of their models with the latest components.
LG UltraPC 16 and LG UltraPC17 are their series of laptops that come with more powerful specifications compared to the LG gram series. In terms of display, the LG UltraPC 16 and 17 come with 16 and 17-inch IPS displays with a resolution of 1920×1200 and 2560×1600.
In terms of processing chips, the LG UltraPC 17 is powered by an Intel Core i7-1260P CPU while the LG UltraPC 16 is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 5825U with 16GB of memory, where the LG UltraPC 17 uses DDR5 memory and the LG UltraPC 16 uses DDR4 memory. In terms of storage, both of these laptops use PCIe SSD storage of 512GB.
Another difference between these two laptops can be seen from the graphics card offerings where the 17-inch model comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card while the 16-inch model uses an AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics card built into the CPU.
In terms of battery, the LG UltraPC 17 has an 80Wh battery with a 150W charging adapter while the LG UltraPC 16 comes with a 75Wh battery with a 65W USB-C charging adapter.
These laptops are coming to selected markets such as the United States first at a price of $1599 (~RM7281) for the LG UltraPC 17 and $999 (~RM4550) for the LG UltraPC 16.
