Just a few weeks ago, the Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld was leaked and finally it was officially launched last night. It is a portable console running the Android operating system that focuses on cloud game streaming.
G Cloud Gaming Handheld comes with a 7-inch FHD IPS LCD screen, 60Hz, powered by a Snapdragon 720G processing chip and paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM memory and 64GB internal storage.
The console runs Android 11 with Google Play Store support, but the main focus is on access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now and Valve Steam Link. Chrome and YouTube web browser applications will also be pre-installed. Each of these game streaming services is also not a direct integration, but rather just a web application.
Logitech also includes various control buttons similar to the Xbox controller such as two analog buttons, D-pad, Y,B,A,X, some additional buttons to go to the home screen, menu, shoulder buttons and also supports haptics and gyroscope. This console also does not support SIM cards and is limited to WiFi only.
The console's battery is 6000mAh with a claimed battery life of up to 12 hours. Logitech also collaborated with Microsoft, Tencent and Nvidia to make this product a success. The selling price is $349.99 which is around RM1,598. As game streaming services are not available in Malaysia, sales may be limited to selected markets only.
