The Minister of Communications and Multimedia is now reminding telecommunications companies not to choose or divide coverage areas among themselves.
Instead, telecommunications companies are asked to offer services equally in all areas.
Due to the division of areas, it makes the residents of a certain area unable to choose the best telecommunications provider with extensive coverage in a certain village.
The Minister also emphasized that telecommunication service providers should take advantage of the latest tower technology that allows up to six service providers to be offered through the same tower.
In addition, it was also emphasized that telecommunications companies also take into account humanitarian issues in providing their services.
