Netflix Reportedly May Introduce Ad-Supported Plans As Early as November

Netflix has expressed its intention to introduce an ad-supported plan on their platform - allowing users to subscribe to the service at a lower price than the existing one.

It was initially targeted for 2023, but now according to some early reports, Netflix is said to introduce it as early as November 2022.

At the initial stage, the launch of this new plan is expected to be limited in some markets first.

It is said for an ad-supported plan, it will come with a total of 4 minutes of ad display for every minute of viewing, and not all content can be accessed by this ad-supported plan.

Netflix is said to want to accelerate the introduction of this plan in an effort to get ahead of it before Disney+ does the same in the US market. For information, Disney+ Hotstar already offered a plan with ad support in India before, and it is still seen that there are no plans for the Malaysian market.
