Pixel 4 And Pixel 4 XL Can No Longer Test Android Beta Versions

Android 13 has already officially rolled out with select Pixel devices receiving the stable version update first. Other devices such as Samsung, Oppo, OnePlus and Xiaomi have already started their respective beta tests with Nothing awaiting the first beta test at the end of next year.

The next Android beta program is for the Feature Drop phase which is the Quarterly Platform Release. Android 13 QPR 1 is expected to start this month with a stable version next December.

Google has recently released a list of devices that can test Android 13 QPR 1. Unfortunately, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have been removed from support for testing their beta version of the operating system. Currently only Pixel 4a, 4a 5G, Pixel 5, 5a, Pixel 6, 6 Pro and 6a can test Android 13 beta and above.

Android 13 QPR is said to have only two versions this time. This is because there are rumors, Google wants to start testing Android 14 as early as April next year. In October this year, the Pixel 4/Pixel 4 XL will be discontinued from update support, with Android 13 QPR likely to be the last version of Android for these two devices.
