Today's launch event saw the Poco M5 and Poco M5s finally officially unveiled globally. Both have different offerings both in terms of design and internal hardware. This is to allow users to have a variety of options that suit their tastes.
Starting with the Poco M5, it features a boxy body with a matching flat screen and small notch. Through it a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD screen is used with a 90Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek Helio G99 chip is also used with memory matching up to 6GB RAM (LPDDR4X), internal storage up to 128GB (UFS 2.2) and Game Turbo 5.0 technology. The battery capacity is 5,000mAh which supports 18W charging system.
Also included is a tri-camera system with a setup of 50MP (main) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) and a 5MP front camera. Not to be left out, the device is also loaded with several other features such as NFC, IR Blaster and bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. As an option, Poco M5 is available in colors such as Black, Yellow and Green.
Next, Poco M5s comes with a thin body with a perforated front panel in the middle. Through it, a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen is used with standard 60Hz refresh rate support. It is then matched with a MediaTek Helio G95 chip, memory up to 6GB RAM, internal storage up to 128GB and a 5,000mAh battery.
Also included are quad-cameras on the back with a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP setup and a 13MP front camera. At the same time, the Poco M5s camera supports the ability to record videos up to 4K. Not to be outdone, the device is also loaded with a stereo speaker system, IP53 waterproof rating, IR blaster, NFC and a 3.5mm audio jack.
For the price, Poco M5 is sold starting at €169 (4GB/64GB) (~RM753), €189 (4GB/128GB) (RM843) and €209 (~RM932) (6GB/128GB). Meanwhile, the Poco M5s is priced at €189 (~RM843) (4GB/64GB), €209 (~RM932) (4GB/128GB) and €229 (6GB/128) (~RM1,021).
