If you are an avid book reader, you are certainly familiar with the offerings of electronic book readers (e-books) such as those offered by brands such as Kobo and Kindle.
Recently, Rakuten, the owner company behind the Kobo e-book device brand has announced that they have officially started offering their devices in the local market, including Kobo Clara 2E, Kobo Nia, Kobo Libra 2 and Kobo Sage.
The Kobo Clara 2E is seen as the flagship device featured by Rakuten in Malaysia, where it has a 6-inch e-ink screen display with a frame made from recycled materials and has a battery life of several weeks on a full charge.
It also comes with a built-in storage of 16GB that can hold as many as 12 thousand electronic books or around 75 Kobo Audiobook files that can be accessed at any time with the built-in speaker or using earphones using a Bluetooth connection.
Even more interesting, this Kobo Clara 2E also comes with waterproof support for 60 minutes in water at a depth of two meters, good for those of you who want to read when going out camping and so on.
Through the Kobo.com website, Ingram Micro Malaysia's Executive Managing Director, Devan Parinpanayagam said that Rakuten Kobo reader users have tens of thousands of local and international reading materials in various languages.
Kobo Clara 2E and other electronic book readers have also started to be offered in Malaysia through Kobo.com, and physical distribution stores such as Mono Digital, All IT Hypermarket, Flash Gadgets, Quantum Gadgets, Popular Malaysia, and SMB + Enterprise at the following prices:
