Samsung today shared at the IFA 2022 event, saying that almost all the electrical appliances they sell – including refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, air conditioners, etc. will be equipped with WiFi support by the end of 2023.
With this change, it is seen that Samsung will only sell short-circuit electrical hardware by the end of 2023, and will no longer sell normal electrical hardware.
With this step, it is expected to make the hardware more environmentally friendly and energy efficient – since it can be controlled remotely, as well as avoiding waste.
Samsung's move is also seen in parallel with the transition of many to the era of smart homes and connected devices.
Besides Samsung, several other manufacturers are also actively looking at this smart hardware arena.
