Samsung Will Reportedly Eliminate USB-C Cables In Phone Purchase Boxes By 2023

Samsung was previously ready to remove the charging head on the purchase of some of their devices today. Now, a new report comes in, saying Samsung will also ditch the included USB-C charging cable in the box soon.

According to reports from South Korea, Samsung is expected to remove the USB-C cable from the Galaxy A series device box as early as 2023. This is seen as an extension of the removal of the charging head on the Galaxy A series this year.

This is part of a move to ensure that all plastic is removed from Samsung's marketing packages by 2025. With this transition, only the phone and also the SIM pin will be included in the purchase box of the device.

Today, Sony is ready to do this, in addition to Xiaomi and Apple also do not include chargers in the purchase box of their devices.
