Tile is a brand known for object tracking products. They have been present with products like this for a long time before Apple came with AirTag again. But tracking these object trackers has the potential to threaten user privacy.
To solve this issue, Tile recently launched QR code stickers to track lost objects. What's strange here is, it's just a normal sticker with a QR code that contains information to contact the owner of the object.
Dubbed the Lost and Found Label, this sticker has no electronic components, no Bluetooth or UWB chips and relies entirely on the public's trust. This means, if you put this sticker on your luggage and your luggage goes missing – you need to be sure that there will be a member of the public who will scan the QR code and call you back to return the luggage.
These Lost and Found Labels are sold at a price of $14.99 (~RM68) for three sheets, where each sheet has five stickers.
