Translated Text Using Google Lens Now Looks More Natural

Google Lens has long had the feature of changing the language of text in real time directly from within the application. The user only needs to point the device with Lens to the text in a foreign language and it will automatically be transferred to the language the user understands. But this time the translated text layer looks awkward because it is placed in a box that is not the same as the background of the original text.

At the Google Search On 22 event that took place this morning, Google updated Lens with a feature that allows translated text to look more natural as it resembles the original text. No more gray text boxes on text backgrounds.

In the given example, the translated text is displayed neatly on the background of the space image. To support this feature, artificial intelligence Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are used by Google. This feature is rolling out to global users today in stages.
