Last month, Twitter announced that they wanted to turn their Spaces audio chat feature into a podcasting platform. Through the saved audio chat content, it can be heard again as a podcast if any user misses it or wants to repeat it.
The content of this Twitter Spaces podcast will have its own categories such as news, music, sports and others. In addition to categories, podcast content recommendations are also based on user interests such as who is followed, usage patterns such as user interaction and so on.
Recently, Twitter started launching Spaces Tab for Twitter Blue users so that they can access Spaces content and also podcasts. Each podcast will also have ads and there will be Statuion Spaces where Twitter gathers podcasts in a group for users to listen to in turn.
It is still uncertain when Twitter will offer this feature to regular Twitter users or if it will be exclusive to Twitter Blue only. Future Twitter podcasts are accessible via Android and iOS only and nowhere else.
