U Mobile and Qualcomm have now announced a collaboration, where they will both share expertise in innovating smart retail offerings for the local industry.
This move is in line with the upcoming introduction of 5G, which will bring more digital transformation effects to various industries.
Through this smart retail offering from U Mobile, it will make it easier for users to make purchases and payments quickly digitally – unlike what is offered today.
This is also expected to be equipped with the support of AI technology – ensuring that various operations, stock maintenance and so on are well managed digitally.
From what U Mobile showed, a total of three solutions were shown, including a self-driving vehicle that takes food everywhere, and sells it automatically – replacing the food truck offerings of today.
In addition, U Mobile also showed a smart cart to facilitate direct payment on the cart, in addition to electronic labeling support.
