U Mobile today confirmed they chose not to invest and acquire a stake in Digital Nasional Berhad, or DNB.
U Mobile said it reached this decision after going through various discussions and fully evaluating the terms and investment for the purpose. U Mobile wants to focus more on their advantages in offering innovative products and communication and digital services.
Regardless, U Mobile also emphasized that this will not impact their 5G service offering.
This is because it is covered by a different access agreement, and is not related to investment in DNB. Now they are in the final process for the agreement.
U Mobile itself has been testing its 5G service, and says it will offer it to customers soon.
