Mark Zuckerberg today shared the introduction of a new feature on WhatsApp, which is the ability to invite friends to join a voice or video call by sharing a link.
With this step, it will allow you to easily invite anyone who is not in your address book list to join a voice or video call.
This is very useful if you want to make video calls for business purposes, meetings and so on – while allowing WhatsApp to be used as an alternative to Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.
For now, this feature is being rolled out gradually starting this week – in the form of voice and video calls.
To start a call, users only need to tap "Calls" on WhatsApp, and then select "Create call link". A link will be generated for you to share directly with relevant parties.
