YouTube Player For Education Launches For Ad-Free Streaming In The Classroom

YouTube launched Player for Education today to enable videos from YouTube to be played in learning applications such as Classroom without displaying ads, other recommended videos and external links that can disrupt online learning sessions.

In the early stages of EDpuzzle, Purdue University and Purdue Global also agreed to support YouTube Player for Education on their online learning platform. Throughout the video pandemic, being interrupted by ads because teachers don't have a Premium subscription is an issue we've seen first hand. It is hoped that the feature can be developed because the use of YouTube videos for learning is still done for certain subjects in schools.
