YouTube Premium Users Can Now Test Live Sharing Features With Google Meet

Last year, Apple introduced the SharePlay feature. It is a FaceTime video calling feature that can share video or music on one device to several other devices. The same feature was also introduced by Google through Duo which is Live Sharing which was then limited to Samsung devices.

With Google Duo already being Meet, this live sharing support also expands to other devices with the ability to share Spotify streaming, Kahoot! web games, Uno and more.

Recently, YouTube Premium users are seen to be able to create a meeting on Google Meet and still open YouTube. When selecting a video, there will be a window stating to start the live sharing feature with Meet.

This means, anyone who joins the meeting session or those invited can watch YouTube videos together simultaneously. To use this feature, you just need to go to youtube.com/new and join the Watch YouTube Together With Google Meet testing program.
