YouTube is already famous for their video platform that shares revenue through advertising together with content publishers on the platform
YouTube set specific criteria in allowing many to earn through the platform - and today many make their careers by being "youtubers" all the time.
Interestingly, now apart from just publishing regular videos, advertising revenue will also be shared for publishing YouTube Shorts videos.
As many are aware, YouTube Shorts is a TikTok-like offering by Google on YouTube. It allows people to publish 60-second vertical videos, and facilitates interaction by users by scrolling up or down.
For now, these rumors are present through initial sharing. YouTube may share more about it around 2023 later. A number of things are expected to be resolved, and include how the segmentation happens – since the ads are not shown at the beginning of the video like normal ads, instead the ads will be shown between several videos after the user scrolls from one to another.
Let's all look forward to further developments on this matter.
