Google updated Search this week for users of simple devices. The first change is that the ads displayed at the top of the search results are now displayed with the label "Sponsored" and no longer "Ad" as before. The label is prominently displayed with bold text above the search results so that users are aware that it is a paid ad.
Next, the size of the website's favicon is also increased on search results so that it is more clearly visible on the screen of mobile devices. With this, users can quickly realize that the search results displayed are the pages they really want to search for with the correct logo display.
This feature will be rolled out to mobile users globally in the coming weeks with the desktop version following that.
