Huawei has been subject to strict technology restrictions by the United States for the past three years. However they hold many technology patents which are then licensed to other manufacturers. Recently in China Huawei has filed a lawsuit against Amazon and Compel Electronics regarding the e-ink screen technology patent.
The suit was filed in Jiangsu Province with the case hearing on December 8 next. What and how many patents are infringed has not been disclosed at this time. Amazon has already issued a statement that it will pull Kindle sales from China by the first half of 2023. This may have something to do with the lawsuit that has been filed.
