Apple Headsets Expected to Be Equipped with Eye Scanners for Account Verification and Payments

Apple is said to be coming with its own mixed reality headset as early as 2023. In parallel, some information about the headset began to appear on the web arena.

Most recently, via The Information, it has now been reported that the Apple headset will also include a built-in eye scanner – which will be used for payment verification, including for logging into user accounts.

Eye scanning is seen as the next step after the introduction of Touch ID and Face ID before. It will also be easier to verify payment or anything by scanning the eyes while wearing the headset.

For that purpose, Apple is expected to include a special camera inside that monitors the user's eye movements. In total, Apple is expected to include around 14 cameras – which will also be used to allow users to enjoy a comprehensive mixed-reality and augmented-reality experience.

Apple is expected to introduce their headset around 2023 in limited quantities, before choosing to market it widely. This move is also expected to allow developers to be ready with their respective offerings when they are widely marketed later.
