Budget 2023 : Disabled Help Center Will Support Video Calls For Sign Language Users

In order to reduce the technology gap of disabled people in Malaysia, the government announced that the disability assistance center will finally support a video calling system. With this technology the hearing impaired can access various government lines using sign language.

This is part of the government's efforts to make Malaysia more inclusive for people with disabilities. In addition, the government will also increase the number of nurseries for the disabled to 50 compared to only 13 at this time.

A total of RM10 million has also been allocated for travel vouchers for the disabled through the call-to-action service. Employers who hire disabled workers will receive an incentive of up to RM750 per month for three months. All this will cost RM 1.2 billion.
