Good news for Chromecast With Google TV owners as this smart television dongle started receiving updates to Android TV 12 weeks after the launch of Chromecast with Google TV HD. So far users in the United States are the earliest to receive it with an update size of around 720MB. The update raises the operating system version from Android TV 10 directly to Android TV 12.
In addition to bringing a new operating system update, Android TV 12 also brings improvements to HDR content control and surround audio. An increase to the security level is also provided with a security patch until July 2022. Several bugs and issues with performance are also resolved.
