DaVinci Resolve Coming to iPad Later This Year

When the new iPad was announced a few days ago, a screenshot of the DaVinci Resolve video editing app was shown without any information on when it would be offered. Blackmagic Design, which developed the app, has confirmed that the app will be coming to the iPad by the end of 2022.

Both the free version of DaVinci Resolve and the paid version of DaVinci Resolve Studio will be offered to iPad users. Supported iPad models have not been announced but it is likely that only the iPad Pro uses the M1 and M2 chips at this time.

Applications will be developed with touch screen support and Apple Pencil. The desktop version of DaVinci Resolve files can be used and edited on the iPad version in the future. Supported file formats are H.264, H.265, Apple ProRes and Blackmagic RAW.
