Previously, it was said that Elon Musk plans to reduce the number of Twitter employees by up to 75% when he takes over. The move is said to return Twitter to their focus, and also bring the social service towards profitability.
However, now Elon Musk has told Twitter employees that he does not plan to lay off 75% of the workforce at the social media company.
Elon Musk is still expected to lay off some employees, but it is not expected to reach 75%. According to initial expectations, it is estimated to be around 25% of employees – which affects 1900 employees on the service.
In addition, it is also expected that Twitter will reduce infrastructure and data center costs.
According to some early reports, Elon Musk is expected to announce the takeover and complete the transaction in full this Friday.
