Ericsson is the party responsible for developing 5G infrastructure in Malaysia. According to Ericsson's latest research and targets, it is estimated that around 4 million Malaysian users will register to use 5G services by 2023.
Ericsson stated that Malaysian users' availability of 5G networks is very high. Around 43% of consumers aim to subscribe to 5G by 2023, and 23% of them already have 5G-ready devices.
Many users are looking forward to using 5G network because they want high quality and fast network.
For now, in Malaysia, only Yes offers a 5G network to end users. Most recently, Telekom Malaysia has also announced that it will introduce a 5G network, but no introduction date has been given.
