Facebook Will Reportedly Lay off 15% of Workforce – Affecting Nearly 12,000 Employees

 

Meta has previously been said to be restructuring and optimizing the company's operations. Following on from that, now comes a new report saying that Meta will lay off up to 15% of their company's workforce, affecting nearly 12,000 employees.

Meta is said to have started the process of optimizing their employees.

This year alone, Meta has seen a sharp drop in its stock value, in addition to dwindling advertising spending with challenges from platforms like TikTok, as well as other challenges including losing users.

It is not yet known whether this optimization process will have an impact on metacity development or vice versa.
