Firefox Relay Premium Can Now Hide Phone Numbers Too

Firefox Relay was first introduced to Malaysian users in November 2021. It is a feature that allows the user's real email to be hidden and replaced with a temporary email address. This feature later came in the form of a Chrome plugin, further expanding the support of this Mozilla security feature for other platforms.

Although Firefox Relay is free to use, it has limitations and if users want unlimited hiding a subscription to Firefox Relay Premium is required for as low as $0.99 (~RM4.64) per month if taking the annual plan. The latest Firefox Relay Premium offers a new feature that hides the phone number.

The price is $4.99 per month (~RM23.40) or $3.99 per month for the annual plan (~RM18.71). This feature will hide the user's real phone number and replace it with a temporary phone number. But this number can only be generated once and cannot be changed.

This feature allows users to use temporary numbers to reply to confirmation messages if needed and avoid Spam phone calls. This means that with this feature the user's real number will be more secure and will not receive interference.

This service will provide 50 minutes of phone calls and 75 SMS per month. Unlimited email hiding support is also offered together. It is also limited in the United States and Canada for now and there is no information if it will be expanded to other countries.

The same feature is also offered by Google through Google Voice and it is free, but also limited in selected countries only.
