Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition Is Fossil's First Wear OS 3 Watch

Wear OS 3.0 is the operating system for Google's smart watches launched in August 2021. The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 was the first watch to use this operating system, it was later used on the Mont Blanc Summit 3 as well as the Galaxy Watch5 and the latest is the Pixel Watch.

No other watches run this operating system, but Mobvoi and Fossil have said they will come with Wear OS 3 watches this year. Now Fossil has launched their new and first smartwatch running Wear OS 3. This watch is the Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition and it's powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100+, instead of the Snapdragon W5 Plus.

Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition comes with a 44mm body with a 1.28-inch OLED screen, 1GB of RAM memory and 8GB of internal storage. This watch has more or less the same specifications as the previous Fossil Gen 6, only this time it focuses more on fitness and user blackness monitoring. Best of all, it's Fossil's first Wear OS 3 watch with a new interface, support for YouTube Music, Spotify, Facer, Amazon Alexa and many more exciting features.

The watch can also be connected to the Fossil Smartwatches app and the new Wellness app for blood oxygen level monitoring, VO2 Max cardio, automatic exercise tracking, new heart rate scanning features, better sleep monitoring, and more.

This watch comes with a choice of black, milky or rose gold body and will be sold at a price of $299 (~RM1,405) starting this October 17 in selected markets.
